" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because this program will give me the opportunity to connect with other youth from around the world that are dedicated to addressing the world's most pressing issues. I am excited to use this opportunity to meaningfully contribute to my community and to connect with other's around the world that share the same vision of a sustainable future. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Examining New York City's Homeless Crisis

Rosie is excited to use the Millennium Fellowship to conduct research toward her thesis on New York City's shelter system. Over the course of the Fellowship, Rosie hope to build a strong base of knowledge and connect with individuals and organizations that are already addressing the faults in New York City's shelter system. She will be conducting interviews, analyzing city reports, and volunteering with local organizations that will help her write a report on her research. This report will be publicly shared in order to raise awareness of the faults in New York City's right to shelter policy. This report will be preliminary to her longer, more in depth, senior thesis.
