" I am honored to be a Millennium Fellow. In the following months, I know that I will encounter various challenges and difficult complexities. However, I also know that I will be able to experience growth as I, along with my Millennium Fellow counterparts, collaboratively overcome these obstacles. I am truly excited to be part of this amazing program and meet other young, bright-minded people. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project OR (Our Response)
The 2019-nCoV has affected millions of lives all over the world. Many adjustments had to be made so that the spread of Covid-19 may be slowed. Additionally in this process, many aspects of our society, specifically the U.S., have been revealed. Project OR will present a discussion about such topics in a research paper and ultimately answer: How will we improve as a society after this pandemic?
By October 2020, the research component of Project OR will be completed and shared with people through social media. Cold emails will also be sent out to educational institutions, government officials, essential workers, environmental workers, local restaurant owners, etc.
Project OR will be contacting at least 150 people and hopefully receiving responses from at least 100 of them. Their responses will be added onto the research paper in "Question and Response" form, and the completed version will be resent to those who have contributed by December 2020.
