" I am unbelievably grateful and honoured to be part of the Millennium Fellowship this year because it is an opportunity for me to give back to a community that has not only welcomed me but has also been incredibly kind to me. Working to end avoidable maternal and infant deaths is close to my heart because it signifies the renewed outlook I have on motherhood. It is of extreme importance that we safeguard expectant mothers and new-born born babies by eliminating systemic incapacity and errors that negatively affect their fragile states. We owe it to them.
