" I am very excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it would give me a chance to work for what I believe. I believe that we should all be gender sensitive and understand the issues faced by genders in different circumstances. I believe we must create safe spaces for everyone to come and share their experiences and thoughts. Being an advocate of sustainability and environmental awareness, I also believe that we must create such spaces where we can make people realise the necessity of immediate action to combat the ecological crisis. I also believe that environmental impact is also gendered and some genders face more issues during environmental crisis and we must address that too. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Building Humans to Think Differently

This project aims at bringing change to thought systems of people through education, awareness programs and helping people to avail their rights. This is an attempt to break the silence among people regarding gender related concerns by understanding the impact of gender roles in various spheres, environmental impact on gender and the importance of gender awareness to strive for equality. Further, this project also tries to build human capacity within the university campus to excel at the particular streams of each student with action based and value based capacity building programs. Apart from this, we aim to imbibe the value of inclusive participation of all genders in all the activities. We do not only limit our reach to the students but also to the workers in our campus as we have observed that their work is highly determined by their gender. Thus our aim is to promote inclusive and sustainable environment friendly growth.
