ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Las Disfrutas - Frutos con Causa
Working side by side with the Millennium Fellowship, I intend to make a change in the production and consumption system.
I specifically seek to use fruits and vegetables that, due to aesthetic or ripening criteria, do not reach the consumer. (Fruits that still have the possibility of consumption). Project Primary objectives:
- Repurpose this merchandise into edible by-products in conjunction with an awareness campaign.
- Volunteer collaborators: chefs, restaurateurs, students of various disciplines, Millennium Fellowship colleagues, etc.
About the Millennium Fellow
Andrea Morales Leal is a Mexican third-year Psychology Student. She is currently studying Design Thinking in order to develop solutions to address the footprint of food in the people and the planet. She is a very passionate and energetic person who is always eager to make a change!
