ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations.  80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows.  The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Leonora

Leonora is a platform aimed at Mexican women interested in being agents of change within their communities.

Leonora focuses on providing them with training and workshops so they can build a knowledge base regarding personal development, gender equality, health and social rights.

This training will allow young women pursue a greater sense of self fulfillment, quality education regarding female health, their rights as Mexican women and acquire leadership skills with gender perspective.

About the Millennium Fellow

Karla Alfaro is a young woman from Mexico passionate about advocating for gender equality, feminism and the access to quality education for all girls and women.
