" Globally, new infectious diseases are emerging. COVID-19 is revealing how weak the global health care system is. We're seeing leaders playing around with this pandemic, and so the way forward is to bridge the gap between the scientific world and policy making. This is where my heart lies; strengthening health/ research institutions, motivating scientists to take leadership roles and making health related policies data driven. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: ZoonoRid
ZoonoRid project chiefly seeks to contribute to the global eradication of infectious diseases, especially those being zoonotic. The whole idea is that I have seen how human are much closer to animals of late and how we poorly handle animals especially in our rural communities. so, a massive sensitization on proper animal handling, grooming and vaccination of pets and being a vet students, when being funded can enroll on free vaccination for some deadly diseases like Rabies. Community, schools, religious meetings, social media, TV and radio sensitization will be very helpful.
