ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations.  80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows.  The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

" I am very excited to be a Millennium Fellow because this is an opportunity for me to meet, learn, work and impact positively with fellow brilliant young individuals like me around the world. I believe synergy of the goals through Partnership will bring about actualization of all of the goals. Education, Zero Poverty, Hunger, Equality, Justice, Climate Action all need to work hand-in-hand. I am going to give it my best to bring my country and Africa to the forefront of nations who achieved the Global Goals. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Eco-ho'us'e

Eco-ho'us'e is a project that is targeted at SDG 17 which is partnership for the goals. Munir plans to synergize the activities of the SDGs to allow university campus stakeholders, civil organizations, public and private entities, young individuals and co millennium fellows share innovative ideas,technical expertise and resources (SDG Indicator 17.16) to ensure that at the end of the fellowship they have made a sustainable impact to core issues like poverty, education, sanitation and water, climate, environmental pollution and inequality. The success will be measured as over 1000 students will be affected positively through the Social Media creative campaigns, Advocacy with SDG language translated banners on campus, planting of trees, provision of waste disposal bins, and organizing of soft skills training to at least 500 students.

About the Millennium Fellow

Odunaye Munir 'The Illuminator ' is a Student of Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta. He is a young passionate Creative, Sustainable Innovator, Tech Enthusiast with Keen Interest in Future Technologies, Shrewd Reader, Writer, Young Leader, Global Ambassador, UN Volunteer and a United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Advocate with Significant Projects and Contributions both Locally and Globally.
He participated in several International and national Campaigns, projects and activities for the SDGs putting his Creative and Innovative Skills to create contents that gets International recognition and accolades. His favourite SDGs are Goals 3, 4, 5, 9, 13 and 17.
He has few but significant works and projects on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Munir is an Active Citizen working to bring positive Impact to the African community and World at large.
