ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Alleviating Malnutrition
Alleviating Malnutrition is a project aimed at reducing the rate of severe acute malnutrition by introducing and encouraging the incorporation of orange fleshed sweet potato (OFSP),an excellent source of beta carotene into the diet of children.
Measurable goals Oreoluwa hopes to accomplish are:
-Raising,multiplication and supply of vines to households.
-Training farmers on cultivation and adoption of OFSP.
-Supply of 90 OFSP tubers to 25 households for incorporation into the diet of their children.
-Continued consumption of OFSP in meals of children in the households.
-Improved body mass index of children fed with OFSP in the 25 households.
About the Millennium Fellow
Kehinde Oreoluwa is a 400 level student studying Veterinary Medicine at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB). She is an executive committee member, Association of Veterinary Medical Students,FUNAAB Chapter. She is a member of Budding Leaders Empowerment Initiative, a Non Governmental Organization focused on empowering young and upcoming leaders. She is also a passionate entrepreneur committed to positively impacting the community.
