ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Girls Who Launch
Girls Who Launch strives to empower young girls to become the change makers of tomorrow. As a part of our mission, we focus educating girls on the basics of business, financial literacy, and creative entrepreneurship. Our goals are to grow our social media education campaign by 1000+ followers, put on 10 workshops reaching at least a 100 girls, developing an engaging curriculum of 10 modules, and fostering partnerships with 5+ schools and colleges.
About the Millennium Fellow
Samra Kanwal is a sophmore at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, triple majoring in Management Information Systems, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and History. A aspiring entrepreneur, Samra enjoys spending her free time working on her startup, Volunto and her social organization, Girls Who Launch. She strives to harness the power of entrepreneurship and the private sector to uplift marginalized groups.
