Millennium Fellowship Project: Raising Protégé Initiative
Raising Protégé’s Initiative was founded to reduce the gap of unemployment cause by lack of equality education among youth in Nigeria, by providing free entrepreneurial Skills acquisition programme, and also introducing Business Education for these youths, to empower them with the needed knowledge and understanding on how to do business in a tough economy like Nigeria The journey hasn't been easy, starting first by organising a team of 5 persons, working with limited human and material resources made planning very difficult and my team members frustrated, I had to sacrifice time, resources and finance to ensure they stay on-board, talking to mentors, seeking for sponsors, creating publicity, searching for venues just to ensure the vision was a success. It was truly a test of persistency and consistency as we push through all these challenges, and over the months our population grew from a team of 5 persons to over 75 active members and 234 trained undergraduate . A skillful person speaks with confidence while the none skillful is filled with fear. Entrepreneurial skills builds individual self esteem, engender growth process and changes that is never ending.
