United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Girls Hangout Initiative.
Girls Hangout Initiative is a non governmental Organization, that seeks to create a platform to assist young girls achieve their purpose in life (through Education) and help raise a generation Virtuous ladies that will be assest and not liabilities to their society. We are very much aware of the increasing Number of teen marriage, teen pregnancy, lack of quality education, and Female genital mutilation facing the girl child especially in Africa and we are passionate about bringing an end to these menance in our society.
Our goal is to provide education for the girl child and we believe that with it she will be more empowered to achieve her goals and this we hope to achieve with our back to school projects, Community outreach program to enlighten young ladies and mother of the need to send their children to school, Seminars on Reproductive health, and skill aquisition project to empower women. We plan to reach about 10,000 girls and women between August and December.
About the Millennium Fellow
Mercy Eloebhose hails from Nigeria, she is a student of the University of BENIN in her 300 level studying Animal Science, She is a poet, and a Content writer, she is very passionate about helping her society to be better hence, she is a member of serval organization.
