Millennium Fellowship Project: Digital Productivity

Research has Shown that more than half of people in Nigeria are living in abject poverty and without gainful employment. Providing them with necessary skills to thrive in a digital world is the main aim of this project.

With the emergence of a lot of technological products and tools, a lot of youths are now spending most of their time on social media and other networking platforms.
Here in Nigeria an average Nigerian youth spends much on data Subscription just to come online on social media. That is why I am working towards the empowerment of youths to teach them on how to leverage on technology to acquire digital skills, start a business and contribute to the economic growth of the society, instead of just spending so much time and money on social media, they can divert it into working on skills that will benefit them in the future.

Examples of the digital skills being taught are- Copywriting, Content Creation, Essay Writing, Mobile Phone Graphics Design, Debating and Public Speaking, podcasting, Social media marketing, Video Animation, personal branding, SEO etc

The Vision for this project is that by the end of the Millennium Fellowship 2020, over 200 people will have acquired a new skill set that will enable them fend for themselves.
