ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Zero Casualty
Not every diseases is curable but at least every disease is preventable. The sole aim of this project is to improve equity in health, reduce health risk amongst people in the society, promote healthy lifestyle through the various means:
1. Raise awareness of the extent of illness, suffering and death among mothers and children and even men.
2. Health Education: To deliver a key set of preventive and curative interventions to the people who need them.
3. Generate a movement that stimulates collectively responsibility and action.
About the Millennium Fellow
Akor Joshua is a 5th year male medical student at the University of Jos, Nigeria. He is 24 years old and passionate about making social impact. An outstanding leader who has sequentially developed his leadership abilities right from elementary school up till the university. When he is not engrossed in reading or making social impacts he usually enjoys playing violin, piano, listening to great music or singing. He is a fitness coach and an advocate for healthy diet and exercise for disease prevention and treatment.
