United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because when I see what other Fellows are doing in their own community I am proud to be amongst and part of this community of change and also create impact.i have a heart that griefs each time I see the abuse inflected on children most especially the female gender in my society,and I am moved to do my little quarter to create a change that can groom a better society for my community,this generation and the society at large. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: A Better Generation
A better generation is towards a positive society that grooms both the young and old on how to behave in the society.focusing on tackling the issue of rape that is on the high side in Nigeria. The society is no longer safe for us most especially the girl child and the solution don't just come by saying it but by providing lasting solutions to this issues.
About the Millennium Fellow
Akand Titilayo Azizat is a 300 level Mass Communication student at the Prestigious University of Jos. She is a Nigerian that is passionate about the media, the girl child, and gender equality. She is skilled in public speaking, content creation,social media and planing. She is currently the Vice President of Faculty of Arts Student Association University of Jos. She loves broadcasting on radio, Reading books, Politics and metting new people. She is the founder of A Better Generation.
