United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Sexual Violence Eradication Project
Sexual Violence Eradication Project is aimed at combating all forms of sexual and gender based violence especially against women and children. The goals include to sensitize the general public SGBV, its dangers and how it can be prevented,debunk the common myths of sexual violence, mobilize the younger generation to join in the fight against SGBV, discourage victim blaming, encourage the by stander intervention strategy and other intervention strategies, sensitize and educate potential victims on primary prevention strategies, encourage victims to voice out in order that they are offered emotional and psychological help and so that justice will be served.
About the Millennium Fellow
Zamnii Ibrahim is a three hundred level student of the faculty of law university of Jos. Zamnii is passionate about working towards seeing to it that sexual and gender based violence especially witnessed by women and children is combatted. Having witnessed and heard about victims of sexual violence in the society, she is committed to seeing to it that this problem is combatted. She is also an entrepreneur and a volunteer.
