United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Save The Planet Initiative
Save the Planet Initiative is an environmental preservation organization working to reduce human-induced climate change and other environmental concerns to ensure and achieve a safe and sustainable planet for all through a three scale model which we refer to as the 3 AS-Awareness, Advocacy, and Action. We seek to create awareness by educating our community and undergraduate students in our campus, advocate for climate change courses to be inculcated into the curriculum of schools and colleges as well as propagate actions such as the GO GREEN PROJECT. The Go green project is part of our strategy which seeks to encourage the planting of more trees in our campus and community in order to secure a sustainable environment for all.
About the Millennium Fellow
Adeoye Adeniji is an undergraduate student of the University of Lagos where he is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Geography and Planning.He is the founder of 'Save the Planet Initiative'- an environmental preservation organisation working to reduce human induced climate change and other environmental concerns in order to achieve a safe planet for all.Ade holds certifications from the United Nations Institute for training and research (UNITAR) and firmly believes that every individual have a role in the protection and preservation of our planet.He is passionate about Environment, Education and Policy.
