ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

I know this is a huge step in my drive to reduce the suicidal rates in Nigeria, Africa, and the world at large due to depression, oppression and mental instability -a feeling I understand too well. I believe that working with like minded individuals on a platform such as MCN would make this a reality indeed. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Speak Up For Them (SUFT)
Speak Up For Them (SUFT) is a project under the auspices of the Sustainable Development Advocates (SDA) - the first registered club in the University Of Lagos (UNILAG) to solely advocate and implement the SDGs through partnerships- targeted at reducing the suicidal rate of the youths due to mental instability, oppression and depression in Nigeria. During the space of this three months, SUFT hopes to have impacted a minimum of 30 students teetering around suicide, alone side massive advocacy with SDA to a minimum of 10,000 students on the SDGs, further fostering a generation of students advancing the Global Goals in other to achieve "a world where no one is left behind" by 2030.
About the Millennium Fellow
Blessing Eseroghene Ekarume -an aspiring Petroleum and Gas Engineer- is a young individual who is passionate about academics and service to humanity, and as such, has been an active advocate of the SDGs; She believes individuals validate their humanity through their responsibility to others.
