" Creating a conducive learning environment for all is my goal. Sustainability of the less privileged is something I have wanted to do. I am super excited to be part of the Millennium Fellowship because I have always dreamed of this for a long time now. Meeting like-minded individuals, combining ideas and setting a better place for the society is the sole reason I wanted to be part of this. I believe the world can still be a better place for everyone and education, good health and a sound mind will be available to everyone. I will strive to make this possible putting all hands on deck and working for the good of all. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Safe Haven Initiative

The Safe Haven Initiative is a project designed to create awareness about mental health, prevent and promote mental health and reduce the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health.

Our goal is to reach out to people to educate them on mental health and the common mental illnesses, promote positive mental health, help to prevent mental ill-health, shatter stereotypes and myths about mental illness, reduce the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness and create an environment that encourages people to speak up and seek support, share their personal experiences with mental illness and remind people that they are not alone in their struggles.

Our objectives are:
1. Educating the public on various mental illnesses, facts on mental health, myths about mental illness and how to deal with mental ill health.
2. Providing support to people with mental health issues.
3. Providing proper referral to people suffering from mental illness.
4. Writing and sharing articles on topics related to mental health.

We believe that together, we can emphasize the need for people to take concerted efforts towards taking care of their mental health, show that mental illness does not have a "look" and it is okay to not be "okay".
