Millennium Fellowship Project: The Girl Power Initiative
The Girl Power Initiative is a project aimed at empowering females and promoting gender equality. This project will focus on addressing and tackling the issue of gender based violence, educating females of their basic human rights and Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights so that they are well informed and would know when it's being violated, and also preparing women for leadership roles.
The project objectives are:
1. Informing the public about the dangers of gender-based violence and importance of gender equality through organising a series of awareness programs targeted at reaching 50-100 people.
2. To provide support and proper referral to victims of gender-based violence.
3. To educate 50-100 females on their human and sexual reproductive health and rights
4. To build capacity among women by equipping them with leadership skills.
We will host online webinars and campaigns through the use of posters on various social media platforms promoting gender equality, rights of the girl child and tackling the issue of gender-based violence.
