" My face beamed with joy and my teeth sparkled with laughter when I received the congratulatory message welcoming me to the Millennium Fellowship class of 2020. If there is one thing I have learnt during the whole process, it's the fact that doing good is a reward in itself. The Millennium Fellowship selection committee proved this to be right because they recognized the salient effort I have been making to impact the lives of other people while also trying to build mine too. This is a great leap for me and I won't stop fighting the battle to end poverty and hunger that plagues humanity in this generation. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The BuildYou Initiative

The BuildYou Initiative project seeks to promote Goal 4 and Goal 8 by ensuring that young Nigerians are educated beyond the four walls of the classroom while also acquiring soft skills that would bring about innovation and help them to build an entrepreneurial mindset which in turn will contribute to the growth of our economy.

Semester Objectives:
• To ensure that Young Nigerians are aware of the SDGs.
• To encourage them to advance the global goals wherever they find themselves.
• To make them see a need to add value to themselves and build capacity.
• To equip them with Soft Skills that prepare them for an advancing world.
• To help them sharpen their skills to build an entrepreneurial mindset.

By the end of the Millennium Fellowship, the team hopes to impact the lives of 500 people.
