ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations.  80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows.  The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Yes She Can

This project is aimed at The African Female and helping her erode all hurdles that is stopping her from utilizing her potentials. It’s about educating the masses on why it is not essential to the glory of the community that there female static are educated and have a well grounded knowledge on where is is going to. The project aims to achieve the following:

-Explore follow up projects and scouting for partners like (Shecan because of its wider reach)
-Disseminate proper information about Gender Mainstreaming
-Teach how to properly integrate gender into any project
-Share good practices and tools to archive a balanced gender in every sphere of the society
-Discover specific examples how gender facilities an organization
-Have a thorough understanding of how gender is perceived in different countries and it's impact
-learn how organizations are integrating this values

Summarily this initiative is just to urged women through the use of social media and campaigns to break the limits of societal stereotypes, to be relevant and continuously fight to add value. Paying more attention to mastering there crafts and contents more than there physical appearance. As Women are the major influencers of change we are all striving to archive.

About the Millennium Fellow

Priscilla Ayodeji is a penultimate year law student from the University of Lagos Nigeria. Priscilla is involved with Model United Nations. Priscilla enjoys debating because she gets to pass message in a dramatic flare. She is an advocate of SDG 5 and tries to be the change she wants to see in the world.
