ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Sustainable Development Advocates
Sustainable Development Advocates (SDA) is the first registered club in the University of Lagos, Nigeria; on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) advocacy and implementations which is under the auspices of the Sustainable Development Goals Awareness Campaign Tour (SDGsACT).
Since inception, SDA has advocated the SDGs to over 10,000 students in the University of Lagos and have successfully implemented projects that have impacted thousands of lives. The club prioritizes partnerships as its implementation strategy and have successfully partnered with prominent organisations such as AIESEC, UN Hult Prize, Millennium Campus Network, Green Club, UNAI, Engineering Career Expo amongst others.
As a testament to the organisation's activities, SDA was recognized by the University of Lagos Vice-chancellor for her active involvement in the 2019 Class of Millennium Fellowship. SDA was also recently recognized by Union Bank of Nigeria for her immense responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.
SDA envisage a world where everyone lives in peace and shared prosperity through partnerships.
About the Millennium Fellow
Queen Omodeagbon is a Penultimate student of the University of Lagos, Nigeria studying Employment Relations and Human Resource Management.
She's passionate about Human Resources and service to humanity. As such, she co-founded a consultancy firm on Human Resources Management.
Queen is also an active advocate of the SDGs on her campus through numerous volunteering and partnerships with organizations in advancing the 2030 agenda. She believes MCN is a platform to learn, network and make contributions for the world we desire.
She looks forward to gaining insights on how to link sustainability with human capital for development.
