ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations.  80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows.  The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: HYDRO-LIFE ELEVATE

Hydro-life Elevate aims to reach out to a minimum of 100 people by improving public health awareness, educating them on hygienic practices inscluding the effects of open defecation and improper disposal of waste. The project also aims to teach people about recycling techniques and proper waste disposal and to introduce basic methods of water purification and usage and enlighten the community on the benefits of proper sanitation and clean water usage. The ultimat goal of this project is to ensure the community maintains a clean and hygienic environment and to be conscious of their immediate environment.

About the Millennium Fellow

Jemimah Ukah is a first year Medicine and Surgery student at The University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She is passionate about personal development, capacity building, and skills acquisition. With dreams of impacting the world positively, she has taken great interest in establishing relationships with people of great minds who aim to achieve global relevance.
