" Having been brought up in a rural community and of course, my experiences, it gave me a purpose. I live in a city where human rights violations are prevalent by individuals and institutions alike. I saw a reason to guard against these violations and educate individuals on the rights they enjoy and how to address violations of those rights. Millennium Fellowship gave be a concrete foundation to build upon this purpose actualize it. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Tutelaw

Project Tutelaw in its entirety is centered on teaching individuals the law and advocacy. The law in this context is focal on the fundamental human rights.

It aims to help individuals know the right methods of accessing justice at the violation of these rights whether by another individual or by institutions.

In the same vein, it brings to the know of individuals, institutions that guard against such violations and how to get these institutions working in their interest.

Modalities are set and Project Tutelaw aims to teach the law by holding symposiums and community outreach because research shows that rural communities are unaware of their rights and this is where violations are prevalent. Project Tutelaw will also be carrying out social media campaigns and advocacy and also host webinars for these purposes. With these, it is our hope that we reach a huge majority of our target which include children, women and young individuals alike.
