ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2020

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations.  80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows.  The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Clean water and sanitization are very important in our daily life, water is life, good sanitation is necessary to maintain a healthy internal and external environment. Some of the diseases of the under 5 years and in the elderly are due to lack of clean water and sanitation. With a lot of people knowing about this, it will go a long way to promote and sustain a healthy environment. Collins goal is to educate and enlighten people on the necessity of clean water and sanitation. This involves going into the neighbouring communities around the university, targeting fellow students, lecturers, and university staff.

About the Millennium Fellow

Collins Okeke is a 500 level MBBS student of the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers state Nigeria. Collins has held some leadership positions which include: S.A to the Nimsa President of special duties, local officer on medical education, financial secretary of his medical association, SUG Senate in-house committee chairman on health, SDG SDSN youth coordinator, world largest learning activator of SDG on secondary school. Collins is a member of IFMSA,NiMSA,SDSN youth. Collins has completed online courses from the Harvard University which include: defeating malaria from the gene to the globe, improving health care focusing on quality and safety, mechanical ventilator for Covid 19.
