" I am excited to be part of the Millennium Fellowship to be able to interact with like minded individuals, to be inspired and inspire one another to achieve positive social impact. It is an amazing opportunity for me to work with diverse groups of people to help the community. Quality healthcare does help improve other aspects of a community such as social and economic health and the latter can be achieved my making readily available everywhere. I hope that through my project, this will be achieved. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Kenkozuri
Kenkozuri is an organization that seeks to aid the community and the world at large to eradicate disease by giving information on how to do so online.
Prevention is better than cure, the old adage goes. With this firmly imprinted in the minds of those reached out by this project, we will get stories from different people in the various communities about how they were able to avoid something as simple as adding salt to their food and the result was having their blood pressure not rising any more.
Public health is something that is avidly shared in the hospitals and clinics but the information is not taken keenly. Furthermore, there is follow-up on those who followed the advice, and how this advice helped them. Kenkozuri aims to inspire storytelling, foster intercultural dialogue, and build healthy communities.
Kenkozuri will be found primarily on Instagram, hence we hope to have at least 250 followers, 500 page visits per week, and at least 10 comments per weeks. We're aiming for at least 20 stories of empowerment and for Kenkozuri to be featured on at least 1 publication. Lastly, we hope to touch at least 10 communities.
