" I am excited to part of the Millennium Fellowship to further my involvement with Philadelphia public schools to address the ongoing funding crisis. I believe that as students at the University of Pennsylvania, we have a responsibility to the city and must do our part to ensure education opportunity for the youth. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Education Justice for Philadelphia
I am organizing fellow Penn students to advocate for the administration's contribution to Philadelphia public schools through Payment In Lieu of Taxes (PILOT). I think the ultimate indicator is the school administration's decision to contribute to PILOT. We are advocating for 50 million per year, which is half of the amount of foregone taxes.
