UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MCN PROUDLY PRESENT MUTHONI KIBAARA, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW FOR THE CLASS OF 2020.
United States International University Africa | Nairobi, Kenya | Advancing SDG 1, SDG 6 & UNAI 9

" I am very excited and fortunate to be part of the Millennium Fellowship because this is an opportunity for me to continue making an impact in my community with people who are just as passionate for change and improvement as I am. Bringing awareness to the gap that we have on gender equality in my country will help push the agenda that will allow more people to be open-minded about giving both men and women equal opportunities that will eventually be of benefit to the society as a whole. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Maji Kwote
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic my country, Kenya, has been facing quite a lot of problems financially because of corruption as well as mismanagement of funds. The people greatly affected by these changes are the orphanages and nursing homes which we call them Nyumba ya Wazee in Kenya. My new project will involve obtaining funds from various NGO's as well as donations from well wishers in order to purchase goods that may be needed by these facilities. Some of the things I am going to purchase for them include water tanks that will enable them to store and harvest water and water filters that will provide them clean water, sanitizers and masks, blankets, clothes, food, toys, diapers/baby bottles and contingency medication such as pain killers.
