UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MCN PROUDLY PRESENT OSMAN SIYAT OSMAN, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW FOR THE CLASS OF 2020.
United States International University Africa | Nairobi, Kenya | Advancing SDG 3 & UNAI 1

" I was excited to receive this fellowship but what am really looking forward to, is the skills I'll learn to be able to not only empower my self but to also lift those in my community that cannot do so for themselves. My goal is to start here, the community we call home to make a difference that will instigate my brothers and sisters to ensure a better quality of life for every African home. Working with a diverse group of people might give me the opportunity to make an impact. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Epi-Raconteur project
Getting information off the internet has never been easy, a few scrolls, clicks and there you go. But does it become easy when there are hundreds or even thousands of search results for a single search item? Epi-raconteur as a project was initiated by the health infodemic situation that the world has experienced as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, making it hard for people around the world to differentiate between factual information from fictitious information. It is a digital-based platform that focuses on creating awareness on factual health information to young adults and adults to enable them make more informed decisions regarding their health.
We aim to reach out to 150 young adults and 50 adults with health and wellness information via our two main social media platforms, Instagram and Facebook and also hold 4 live sessions - 2 live sessions for each platform with guests or in partnership with other organisations focusing on the same thing as us.
