" I am truly honored and humbled to accept this amazing opportunity and embark on the Millennium Fellow mission. I believe that by working with equally passionate and dedicated individuals, all of whom have proven their resolve through demonstrated service, I will be able to draw upon their support and inspiration to move forward towards my goal of equality in education. It is my dream that the future of STEM education and academic equality becomes accessible for all, regardless of socio-economic background, limits on mental or physical ability, or any other barrier. This is a mission I will wholeheartedly dedicate my life to. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Cutting Edge: STEM Re-Education
Project Cutting Edge: Rethinking Education, will function to bridge the gaps in STEM education for economically disadvantaged and disabled youth through systematic engagement in academic enrichment. Re-Education is a program devoted to providing a STEM education to youth that are less fortunate and struggle in the modern educational system. Re-Education's mission is to provide essential exposure to the STEM field by way of interactive community engagement including entertaining learning presentations, hands-on science experiments, career mapping, research exposure, and scientific tours. Given the current state of the world in the wake of the Covid crisis the measurable goals the program hopes to achieve have been amended. Briefly, I hope to be able to offer virtual adaptations of lab tours, lectures, highlighted guest speakers, field trips, Covid informational sessions, at home lab kits, and the previously aforementioned aspects of the program given above. These goals are most measurable in the volume of participants recorded at each event and the amount of partnered schools and organizations that can be reached.
