United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2020, 15,159 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2020 on 1,458 campuses across 135 nations. 80 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 1,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2020 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Endhunger
Endhunger aims to end porverty in rural areas specifically in Salizwa's village, Mpozolo. Salizwa is looking for ways to produce large quantities of vegetables to help people in need, by planting cabbage and potatoes. Salizwa is interested in exploring organic farming and plans to also leverage some of the produce by selling them for fundraising.
About the Millennium Fellow
Salizwa Mdoda is a final year student at university of Western Cape, she is majoring in politics and Isixhosa she is a young hardworking determined woman, she loves performing arts and farming, she is very talkative
