In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

" I believe now more than ever, engagements for the actualization of the SDGs by 2030 is paramount. There are no age sect set aside for this engagement and I believe it is important for young people to amplify their voices as it concerns this subject. I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow at this point because I believe it will give me a platform to amplify my advocacy for young people to get involved in engaging with the SDGs. My leadership skills will be honed and sharpened as I engage with other fellows as well "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Education Beyond The Classroom
Education Beyond The Classroom was a project aimed at SS3 students of 3 schools (Timdel Academy, Glorious Talent Academy and Uzebba Grammar School) all in Uzebba - Iuleha, Owan West LGA, Edo State, Nigeria.
The project focused on training the students specifically on Soft Skills viz,
1. Communication
2. Team work
3. Public Speaking
4. Time Management
5. Critical Thinking Skills.
The skills were particularly chosen because they are skills that are needed and necessary yet not taught in the classrooms
About the Millennium Fellow
Erhayanmen Omo Michael global health aspiring medical student of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Nigeria. He was born and resides in Nigeria. Michael has always being passionate about social change and he is a passionate advocate of the SDGs 03 and 04 and has since engaged and organized numerous projects geared towards Quality Education as well as good health and well being. Michael is also passionately committed to self development and also inspires the same in young people. His passion to see young people commit to personal development led to his organising the "Self Development with Mykellionaire" - A series online that aims at helping young people commit to self development. Michael aspires to engage in global health and hopes to be able to contribute in enacting policies that will favor the actualization of the SDGs.
