Millennium Fellowship Project: PUP (Plastic Upcycled Products)
PUP stands for Plastic Upcycled Products. PUP venture is a social enterprise created with the goal of accelerating plastic upcycling in Nigeria to solve the plastic pollution problem in the country. Our first product, PUP Polish is a shoe polish made from upcycled plastics. It is a smooth waxy paste shoe polish that provides shine, nourishment and long lasting water protection for leather shoes. The Pup project targets SDG 1, 11, 12, and 15. The project aims not only to clear the environment of plastic pollution, but also to provide jobs for the locals as manpower is need for each stages of the production process down to marketing and distribution.
About the Millennium Fellow
Yakubu Benjamin is an indigene of Nigeria and a native of moro'a language which are based in kaura local government of kaduna state. He is a student of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and He study pure Physics. He is from the family of two girls three boys and he is the second born.
