Millennium Fellowship Project: Motivated to Help
Innovatopedia is a hub dedicated to enhancing the traditional school learning pattern in African schools by introducing students to modern technology and equipping them with requisite skills to tackle real-world problems.
Innovatopedia is bridging the gap between the traditional African school system and the modern technological world by introducing an unconventional learning model that is self-paced allowing students to own their learning experience while pushing them to reach their full potential. Mathematics as a core subject in the school curriculum will be utilized by Innovatopedia to help students understand how to build blockchains and algorithms. Innovatopedia will also ensure that the relevance of all traditional school subjects in the real world is preserved by breaking them down for easier comprehension by the students. With this knowledge, the students can now solve many of the global challenges such as the processing of agricultural products into bio-renewable products.
Innovatopedia also aims to be an innovation and technology hub that equips students with necessary problem-solving and critical thinking skills absent in the traditional school system. Innovatopedia will unconventionally facilitate learning by allowing students to learn by doing. Our focus will be on school-going or high school graduates whom we hope to engage in activities that push them to maximize their potential while also having fun. We aim to have complementary classes in subjects such as agriculture, infrastructure, good health and wellbeing, sustainable cities and communities, climate change, affordable and clean energy etc so that more students are encouraged to understand the problems and then consequently solve them. This way, we hope that the high school students will be the hope of the future where all, or at least most of the problems, will have been solved.
