" Millennium Fellowship focuses on leadership, creativity and collaboration and I am incredibility excited to enhance these skills, and hone many more, during the course of the fellowship. I am eager to share my ideas with and learn from like-minded people who are equally passionate and determined to make a significant social impact on communities. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Tatva- Elements of Life

Tatva- Elements of Life aims to address the two elements of life quality: mental health and physical health under which we would like to focus on sexual and reproductive health. The main aim of project Tatva is to spread awareness about life quality to improve health from all aspects, educate the masses on sustainable developmental practices and remove the stigma attached to topics of sexual and reproductive health. The content relating to every aspect of health is presented in a way that will motivate individuals to look at life from a different perspective and encourage them to live healthy lives. Currently, we are focusing on SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and will continue to work with it.

About the Millennium Fellow

Bhumi Gowda is a young, curious and determined student of clinical psychology at Amity University Mumbai. She has been passionate about studying human behaviour and raising awareness about mental health since she was 12, and has been exposed to the Sustainable Development Goal in her early education; this has translated itself into her participating in various internships and projects, focussing on creating a social impact and enhancing her leadership skills.
Born and raised in the cultural hotpot that is Mumbai, Bhumi has been experienced a myriad of cultures and perspectives. She has always strived to advocate for women's rights and mental health as a culmination of her social and academic interests. Using the Millennium Fellowship as a platform to cultivate these advocacies further, Bhumi strives to destigmatise many issues related to women's health and wellness, both physically and mentally, to provide her own contribution in the development of the United Nation's Sustainable Goals.
