" Communication leads to community, that is, to understanding, intimacy and mutual valuing” Being a part of Millennium Fellowship will fuel this idea and help me develop the skills I need to make my social impact more aligned to the UNAI principles and SDGs. I am looking forward to challenge my full potential of innovation and creativity. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Initiate

The project “Initiate” was based on the concept of initiating conversations, our main motive was to work with people of all age groups and empower them on things they go through; focusing mainly on emotional health and mental health. This project had an educational drive of 2 weeks mainly targetting students and young adults. This covered how to deal with daily struggles that affect individual's mental health
eg: problems in school, college/organization (bullying, discrimination), relationships
(boundary-setting, communication, aggression), and mental health.

About the Millennium Fellow

Sakhi Verma is a young psychology student who has resided in various places across the world and is aiming for change in the global community. As far as her memory goes, she remembers that she has observed interpersonal conflicts between people. With her upbringing and studying her subject she has realised that these conflict can be successfully resolved by life skills such as honest communication and awareness of each other's differences.
Sakhi hopes to cultivate a better community and contribute to the UN and sustainable development goals by the end of this project through her distinctive and empathetic leadership along with ceaseless dedication towards the cause.
