" Humanity faces an existential threat today because of the climate crisis. While it may appear as a hopeless, unsolvable crisis, I believe a better world can still be built, one that is equitable, generous & kind. As a Millennium Fellow, I am excited to learn from my peers & enhance my skills to work together & achieve the same. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Climate Resilient Nagpur
My project aims to conduct a research study of the climate risks faced by my hometown, Nagpur & work on solutions that build an equitable, climate-friendly & resilient city.
About the Millennium Fellow
Mehak Bhargava was raised with the belief that if there's something wrong, fix it on your own instead of waiting around for someone else to address it. Thus, when she learnt about the ecological crisis, she didn't hesitate to take action & do something about it. This led her to start a student collective, Millennials for Environment to create awareness about the climate crisis, environmental issues & sustainability in India. When she's not fighting for a better world, she dances, & makes cool latte art. Presently, she is a student of Political Science & International Relations at Ashoka University, India.
