Project Rosalind is a research project in Bangladesh to inspire and encourage more women to pursue research and STEM careers. This falls under SDG 5, Gender Equality, and UNAI #3 Education for All. There are many prejudices against women in Bangladesh which stop them from pursuing a career in research in spite of their aspirations. But there is very little data available in Bangladesh on what kind of roadblocks there are for women, which stops them from taking research as their career. Because of the lack of data, it is often hard to pinpoint which sectors should be improved in order to remove these roadblocks. So, project Rosalind has conducted survey research to collect data on why the low numbers for women in STEM and research. After analyzing the data from this research, we are now working on how to minimize the obstructions realistically.
