" I have a passion for helping lead others to make a change. I believe this program will help collaborate all my current skills and enhance them to better make a difference for the less fortunate and promote Bentley University's sustainable development goals. I am hard-working and barely shy away from a challenge. Group work is a specialty of mine and I believe with the combined minds of a few talented and passionate individuals, we can be at the forefront of change. I currently am creating a Chess club at Bentley for the sole purpose of expanding it to communities nearby for those not fortunate enough to learn themselves. Being a self-taught player myself, I feel I can give this wonderful opportunity to those who never even had a chance. It is initiatives such as this that continue to drive me towards becoming a Millennium Fellow. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Bentley University Nonprofit Business Bowl

The Bentley Business Bowl (BBB) is a one-day campus-wide, business case competition held annually and open to all registered students—graduate and undergraduate. This opportunity allows students to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to a real-world business case study. It is a networking opportunity between students and business professionals who will be attending, whether they are the sponsor or the nonprofit partners. The case study highlights students’ presentational skills as well as their analytical and problem-solving capabilities. This project introduces the importance of nonprofits and exposes students to the misinterpretation of a Purpose vs. Profit mindset where they will directly observe the similarities and differences between Nonprofit work and regular for-profit work.
