In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. Millennium Fellowship Project: American Medical Women’s Association at the University of California, Berkeley
The American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) at the University of California, Berkeley advocates for women all over the world. We work to progress gender equity, promote women’s health, and provide a platform for voices to be heard and transform ideas into realities. To further advance gender equity and women’s health in Berkeley’s community, we partner with multiple UC Berkeley student organizations so we can amplify the goals of these organizations. We hope to build relationships with city organizations outside of the university so we can help more women and young girls around the city.
About the Millennium Fellow
Anna Chriss is a third year student at the University of California, Berkeley studying Molecular and Cell Biology and Minoring in Jewish Studies. She plans to pursue a career in medicine as she is driven to help others in every way that she can. Anna is a curious intellectual and seeks to create a more just world through scholarship and research. At her universtiy Anna works with many student organizations inclusing the American Medical Women's Association, The Suitcase Clinic and Doctors Without Borders, all of which are community service based organizations that Anna works with to make active change in her community.
