ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Scarred

Scarred is a platform through which we aim to mitigate the struggles of handling stress through self-help guidance, spreading empathy among the stakeholders around a mentally challenged person and creating awareness through playwrite and dramas in schools in underprivileged communities.

About the Millennium Fellow

Nafia Islam Faria is a bright, enthusiastic and multi-talented undergraduate student from the Bangladesh University of Professionals and is a longtime volunteer at various dialogues and charity events. She was born in the district of Mymensingh, Bangladesh and has been living throughout the country thanks to her father's government job and is currently living in Dhaka. Volunteering in United Nations Youth & Student Association of Bangladesh had opened her eyes to a world of hope and a new window for the welfare of the society. She is passionate about gender equity, women empowerment, education reformation, poverty, climate change, good health and wellbeing. Throughout her high school and college life, she has taken part in and organized many dialogues and events, which show her leadership quality that she further wants to continue in her future. Nafia aspires to be in a professional field where she can contribute directly as a changemaker and a development worker for the achievement of the sustainable development goals.
