" The world I live in is not the world I dream about. My dream world consist of enlightened, sensible, empathetic, social and self-less inhabitats who understand the delicacy of the universal balance and are not greedy to over-exploit the resources for personal benefits and vanity. In this infinite universe , we've only got one home and there is nowhere to take refuge if its damaged. I want to spread awareness about the insignificance of our individual greed because at the end, if the world is destroyed, nothing remains behind. Millennium Fellowship will provide me with knowledge, skill and network to strengthen my core and enhance my leadership qualities to spread the word to a greater audience. I am extremely ecstatic and thankful for receiving such an opportunity. I am looking forward to optimizing this opportunity to develop myself as an impacful leader. I am sure to learn a lot from this experience and I am welcoming it with open arms. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Volunteer for Environment
Volunteer for Environment (VFE) is a charitable, voluntary, environmental conservation organization. VFE is an international volunteering organization that has been founded with a view to merging the social and economic dimensions of SDGs with the environmental dimensions. We believe that it is impossible to accomplish an overall sustainable development without integrating the environmental dimensions as nature-society imbalance threatens economic and social stability as well as public health.
“Embedding Environment in Sustainable Development” --- is the motto of VFE that unfolds the core visions of this organization. Our visions include bringing about a green revolution, changing people’s psychological perspective to reduce their carbon footprint and making true climate-neutral citizens, spreading green advocacy, popularizing clean energy, promoting biodiversity, protecting natural environment, conserving natural resources and mitigating climate change.
Volunteer for Environment is an integrated participatory approach that relies mostly on the youth cohort of our community as youths are the main playmaker of every societal change and they are the driving forces of any development. VFE is an international platform where youths around the globe convene to actively participate, make a contribution and diligently work for the betterment of our environment. Anyone enthusiastic about nature and devoted to work for the environment, is welcome to get affiliated with Volunteer for Environment and put his effort to conduce a green revolution.
