" Millennium Fellowship, by providing a direction to my limitless vigor and ambition, will amplify the impact that I yearn to create. The Fellowship will equip me with the skills required to make my vision a reality. I am excited to collaborate with ingenious change-makers, learn and grow as an individual so that I can continue touching lives in the future. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Vriddhi
The initiative Project Vriddhi aims to overcome structural barriers to gender equality and inclusivity through the tool of education. By mainstreaming gender modules in the current curriculum, we endeavor to revive a crippled system by initiating conversations on social elements that are considered taboo in Indian society. Provision of knowledge about the various gender identities and sexual orientations at the right age, particularly to the largely uninformed lower strata, is crucial in opening minds before they are closed forever. We need to overcome the hurdle of gender disparity for the attainment of an egalitarian society, which is what Project Vriddhi envisions for the future.
