" Being a Millennium Fellow will not only provide our project with credibility but will also widen our horizons by expanding our reach. It will be much easier to create impact and help children as the parents, orphanages, and government schools will trust us. This will save our efforts in bringing credibility to 'Bibliotéach', which can be channeled towards expanding the project. The UN Millennium Fellowship Programme will help us gain support from other people and contribute towards making a change. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Bibliotèach

Project Bibliotèach was conceived in June 2021 to proliferate the benefits of education across students in India. We realised the need for practical education that targeted underprivileged students. These students may or may not have had access to formal education, but regardless of their current educational status, we encourage them to think beyond the limits of rote learning. What started as an idea between some students soon transformed into a full-fledged project, Bibliotéach. We aim to advance SDG 4 (Quality education) and UNAI (United Nations Academic Impact Principles) 2 - Capacity building.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ananya is hard-working but modest, consistent in her efforts, and sets firm goals for herself that she is focused and dedicated enough to fulfill. She feels that it is her personal responsibility to help others with the knowledge she has gained over time. She strongly believes in the philosophy of 'Whatever you give, comes back to you.' This is the reason she wants to dedicate her efforts and time to this project. She faces challenges head-on rather. As a person, Ananya is ambitious and driven in hunger to achieve her goals, she will strive hard to achieve these ends, and not simply settle for the available.
