" I believe that life is too short and unpredictable for us to sit around and wait for change to happen. The thought that my efforts can put even a tiny bit of goodness out there in the world motivates me to go on. I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow and get to know the stories of thousands around the world like me, and be exposed to fresh and diverse perspectives towards important issues. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Pinjra Khol

The project is aimed at gender sensitization. A comprehensive module is created that can be incorporated into the syllabus of students. This module includes sex
education, gender-discriminatory practices, abuse, casual sexism, patriarchy, and gender-sensitive language. All these topics contain further subtopics. The aim was to create maximum awareness in students. The curriculum included workshops, debates, and activities to keep the students engaged. The main target group is the less privileged students who may not learn about gender sensitivity from their homes or school syllabus. The collaboration was done with such schools and NGOs, which would help the project gain a bigger reach.
