ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Eatlet

Eatlet is a food blog that aims to bridge the gap between sustainable food systems and mindful, healthy eating. The blog also aspires to educate the general public about ethical food production and consumption as it relates to climate action, primarily through sharing delicious, wholesome recipes!

About the Millennium Fellow

Melody Chen is a rising junior at Barnard College, Columbia University studying Economics and Psychology. She was born in New Zealand, raised in Taiwan, and currently living in New York City. As an avid musician, she began her philanthropic work in high school. As the co-founder of her school's first flute choir, she mentored young girls and provided free musical performances to her local community.

Melody's multicultural experiences and musical background have also tremendously influenced her aesthetic appreciation of art, particularly fashion and beauty. Her current project, "Eco-Fashion Forum," is a blog space and community that aims to provide accurate information, news, op-eds, and resources to help consumers make more informed decisions when interacting with the fashion industry.
