Millennium Fellowship Project: Transforming Specialty
Transforming Specialty is a group project led by six Millenium fellows of the University of Chittagong(CU). It supports SDG 04, quality education, and SDG 08, decent work, and economic growth. The main purpose of this project is to help the visually impaired students of CU in their academics, working on their skill development ensuring their active engagement in extracurricular activities. To gain our project goals we have done some relevant activities and participated in examinations as stenographers, celebrated International White Cane Safety Day, provided academic support. Organized session or ‘Rights and Protection of Persons with Disabilities-2013’ and its implementation, and ‘Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD)’. All of our activities were conducted for our target people, visually impaired students.
About the Millennium Fellow
Mahmudul Hasan is a very active fellow regarding his duty. Currently he is studying in University of Chittagong under the discipline of International Relations (IR). He was born in Chattogram, Bangladesh and he spent his childhood period in that historic land of Bangladesh. From his adolescent period, Mahmudul has been passionate towards promoting human rights and he has been engaged various platforms to make sure his goals. Moreover, he has participated in the MCN (Millennium Campus Network) to get the opportunity promoting gender equality.
