United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Aksharam
Aksharam is an initiative trying to modify conversations. We want to make people aware of some topics and also wish to initiate open conversations on these, beginning from schools. We hope that this may trigger such conversations at homes as well. Legal awareness, mental health, gender spectrum, sex education, menstruation, pregnancy, child development and psycholgy are some of the topics that we have chosen, on public demand. We have collaborated with some personalities who will be providing us with the contents. These will be curated into booklets. Each topic will have three booklets designed specifically for three different categories viz kids, adolescents and adults.
About the Millennium Fellow
Gayathri Rajeev -a mobile happiness pill would be the best way to define her. She is compassionate and dreams of a world where every life truly matters. In that world, every person will have an equal opportunity to learn, to earn, to progress and to lead a better life. She is a person who loves to work. She enjoys finding out new and creative solutions to problems and revels in organising novel events. Talking to literally everyone is something of her trait. She loves to interact with children. She is a language enthusiast and aspires to become a bureaucrat.
