Millennium Fellowship Project: Terra
Traditional handicrafts are one of the most sought after at the same time one of the most violated industries worldwide. Terra aims to advance SDG 8 to help traditional artists be independent help bridging the digital divide. Increasing awareness of the traditional and sustainable methods and resources used by the traditional artists. The project aims to encourage and aid consumers looking for sustainable products vis a vis the industry manufactured copies thus helping communities sustain themselves financially and therefore against any possible exploitation in this current era of digitalisation.
About the Millennium Fellow
Shreya Borgohain is an independent, passionate and strong-willed social sciences student at Cluster Innovation Centre, University of Delhi. A feminist by heart she cares about challenging the deep-rooted patriarchal notions and class divisions along with the social injustices that come with it. Since her high school years, she has been actively involved in social services and aspires to continue her impact by helping and leading others. She loves getting engrossed in the world of fantasy novels and sculpts as a hobby.
